Where are these Cartoons from?

The images represent themes from my research and ongoing conversations with bereaved individuals. I wanted to share my findings with a wide audience and thought cartoons would serve the purpose. Working with an artist, Gabrielle Cosco, I described the scenes I could picture in my mind, and she drew them for me.

What is the research that started this?

My dissertation for my PhD was on Sibling Loss in Adulthood. I then expanded the work by interviewing more bereaved siblings which I incorporated into my two books. I kept hearing the same themes and wanted to find an interesting way to share my work with a wider audience.

The Grief in the Workplace Cartoons came from a series of interviews I did with Corporate Leaders who had experienced a loss.
