Grief Vacation
This one came from my own experience of loss. I needed time beyond the paid bereavement leave and so used up the rest of my vacation.
Is there some other way you can handle this? Today many companies have personal days. One of the best stories I’ve heard about this was an organization that gave someone “as much time as you need” after their child died. No questions asked. The employee took 1 month.
